Windows 8 has a totally different user interface and is really a new type of device that can scale from touch devices using small screens through to large screens, with or without a keyboard and mouse. The demo shows some of the considerations that Microsoft took in redesigning the user interface in Windows 8 for a new generation of touch-centric devices. It seems to be a fast, fluid and dynamic experience while maintaining the power, flexibility and connectivity of Windows.

Microsoft using Windows 8 has also highlighted the movement effortlessly between existing Windows programs and the new applications for Windows 8. The comprehensive capabilities of Windows are still available to you, including Windows Explorer and desktop, and compatibility with all PCs with the Windows 7 logo, software and peripherals.

Although the new user interface has been designed and optimized for the touch devices in mind, it works equally well with a mouse and keyboard. The Windows 8 approach means that you can use whatever device you want. This is sure to inspire a new generation of hardware and software development, improving the experience for PC users around the world.

The Windows 8 User Interface Is Not Just For Touch PC’s

Windows 8 is not just centered around touch PC’s. The new experience will ultimately be driven by Windows application developers around the world.
